History

Owner operated since 1990, Robbins Hardwood Flooring serves the state of Connecticut from the Farmington Valley and beyond. A lifelong resident of Connecticut, owner Kent Robbins has over 30 years of experience installing and refinishing hardwood floors. Using only the highest quality materials and finishes, we provide personalized service to meet our customers' flooring needs and exceed their expectations.

Robbins Hardwood Flooring has refinished and installed floors throughout Connecticut, including the CT Governor's Residence in Hartford. In 2005 owner Kent Robbins served as a lead contractor for the renovation of "The Vine", a house on Vine Street in Hartford that serves as an office and outreach center for Hartford City Mission.

In 2008 Robbins Hardwood Flooring installed a new floor as a gift in kind in the Observation Room in the Hublien Tower on Talcott Mountain in Avon, CT. The floor is a custom solid basket weave parquet in quarter sawn white oak, matching the original floor from 1914. After this project, Kent began serving as a board member for the Friends of the Hublien Tower.

Kent also served as the flooring lead for a new house built on the TV show Extreme Makeover Home Edition in 2009. Located in Suffield, this project involved managing a crew of 25 people installing 4,000 square feet of flooring in an 8 hour period. Other notable jobs include St. Mary's church in Simsbury, Pollack's Fine Clothing on Nantucket Island MA, and the Junior League of Hartford's 2012 Designer Show House.
